A selection from the series Little Palms and Big Flowers is currently on show with the Open Doors Gallery at Photo London Digital.

’Little Palms and Big Flowers’　シリーズは、現在開催中のフォトロンドンデジタルのOpen Doors Galleryのページにて１０月１８日迄、オンライン展示中です。

The series represents observations of the everyday on my windowsill during lockdown.

Forced to spend a long period of time at home during the Covid-19 lockdown, my attention gradually shifted to my immediate surroundings and the simple rhythm of life. Noticing the incredible lightshow by the spring sunlight I soon started a simple activity of capturing and playing with the shadows cast by the once familiar objects. Soon the process of capturing the light, the cognitive associations and the resulting images generated became a means for imaginary journeys, to timeless places near and far where the little palms and big flowers of the imagination thrive.

このシリーズは、2020年の春,コロナの影響で行動範囲が３ヶ月間程ほぼ自宅のみに限られた際に制作したもの。パンデミックで大騒ぎしている人間の事など勿論気にせず毎日陽は昇り暮れいった。通常なら丸一日自宅にいる事も無いので気づきもしなかった太陽の動きや人間がいないのでここぞとばかりに歌いまくる鳥達を家の中から観察し見慣れているもの影を拾い集めその形の想起するものを追って行くうちどこか遠い地を旅していた。
